THE LOTTERY CURSE
WHO THE HELL WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE
Do you think becoming rich overnight will magically solve all your problems? It will accomplish that, actually (happy!), but it will also bring robbery, lawsuits, divorce, isolation and plain all-around misery (sad!).
Granted it can cause some new problems and possibly amplify existing problems but having said that I'll take my chances. My friends and family already know what my stated plans are if or when I hit.
Others will have to deal with it like Sheila Ryan stated when she won what was then Florida's largest jackpot. Paraphrasing a bit it was there are registered charities that help you and I. I'll be researching them and will give to them to help those in need. To the assorted charities she stated don't call us we will call you.
The threat of robbery exists in all of our lives now. If you live your life wisely the money can reduce the threat of personal harm.
Another course of action is a prenuptial if god forbid someone tries to have me lead them down the marriage route. You can be living in a trailer and have a spouse decide to take your life savings that isn't something that only happens to the wealthy!
