[I am paraphrasing]

First, they showed the "we are experiencing technical difficulties" slide when the drawing should have occurred.

Then, they went to a set of commercials.

Then, they return to the studio where the lady is reading from off-camera "due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to draw the Classic Lotto number at this time. Please hold all tickets. We will hold the drawing later and winning results will be made available in the usual outlets and at www.ctlottery.org"

I tuned in 10 minutes earlier when they just completed the Play 4 number (1174) and that same lady looked like she didn't know what to say when they usually say "Stay tuned for tonight's Classic Lotto drawing, coming up in just a few minutes." They cut off to commercial and she said nothing.

Opinions and/or conclusions?

Hmmmm...got to love this great state.  It's a nice place to live so close to the city, except for the taxes!

I didn't buy CTCL tix for last night...but I'd say maybe the machine exploded, or someone won the jackpot on the pre-taped draw.

No, no! Very bad of me!  Don't start conspiracy theories, lol.

The jackpot rolled to $2,100,000 anyhow.

Did anyone ever see any explanation for this occurrence?

I'm not playing right now because of jury duty (except for MM bought in advance). I'm definately not playing NY Lotto!

No, I meant CT Lotto? I know you well enough now to know you NY Lotto... LOL. It's all good. I only play for the jackpot personally so lower tier prizes or odds never concern me. Maybe I'm dumb that way? Do you typically play a set amount or do you buy more once the pot goes higher. I know this week may be different because of Jury Duty but on average?

I haven't been playing Connecticut Lotto lately (I won $20 on PB last month).

Playing the birthday numbers my mother used to play, I've seen a number of match-2's lately.  I wish they could just get together to form 6 for once.
