Now that another big state (CA) is joining Mega Millions, will we see two or more tickets hit first prize? I think yes, but rarely. It has happened before.

    Just my opinion:

    Mega Millions States.

Before California: Population 120m      Odds 135m:1

After California:    Population 155m      Odds 176m:1

In both cases, the population is 88% of the odds.  I think we will see the same number of rollovers as before, and the same number of winners, just the jackpots will have a higher average.

A double winner would hit the record jackpot that is what I think.

The easiest way for it to happen is for you to buy 2 tickets with the same number. Then after you win, give one to a friend.

I believe your right Maverick. And since Maryland seems to be out of the running for any kind of wins in the jackpot or 2nd tier wins, I think the multiple wins will come from New York and California or Georgia and California. I think that California and New York will dominate the wins in the top two tiers for awhile. ( just my opinion)
