I was thinking about why lotteries use numbers rather than letters.  I know GA had the change game that used a strange combination of both.  I think it would be cool to have a pick 2 game and instead of haveing numbers they make them letters.  Have 2 ball machines with a-z in both.  Match 2 letters and win a prize.  What do you guys think.

How are you going to win if you don't play?

With 626 possible combos for only 2 positions?  Thanks but no thanks!

It's really simple. Just pick a letter from a-z, then pick another letter from a-z. Like the winning letters for one draw would be GX, or another draw the combo would be HM. I'm sure state abbreves will be hot combos.

About the only thing i have done with letters is to assign numbers to them and ues the letters of names and such converted to numbers to play different lottery games. A=1 b=2 and so on then take the name of each family member and make some tickets for the mega mill from them. Ok i know what about the other numbers after 26 well 27=1 28=2

Then for ha ha's i do it in reverse order. never won the big pot but have won some money doing this.

I used kinda like a pick 3 or 4 game to go by.  Have $1 play and $.50 play.  Box STR STRBOX or COMBO.

Numbers are more people-friendly than letters.  I don't have a favorite letter.

The possibility of combinations of letters with scatological references being posted as winning combinations would preclude the use of letters in lotteries.
