I have been mentioning in a few threads that the numbers that many of us (at least I am one!) consider rare actually hit quite often and probably should not be overlooked when you are deciding which numbers to play.  Here is what happened yesterday with the pure numbers and series numbers (rare??) marked:

I count 13 wins and 52 draws for a winning percentage of 25%.  If you consider all the "rare" numbers including triples there are 80 which is 36.4% of the 220 unique numbers.  So, yesterday didn't do as well as expected, but I think you can see that the "rare" numbers may not be numbers that you want to eliminate from your selections!

I have given these numbers a bias going against them in my calculations for exactly the reason you pointed out above.  I have found, in the current states I track, that the percentage of hits is consistently lower than the percentage they account for of the 220.

See my previous post on this: http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/114395?q=Three2001

Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

It does look pretty close to expected in Texas.  Midday was a little less and Evening was a little more than expected.
