Picking numbers for the lottery can take many forms. If you've been reading the "systems" forum currently we're doing some fun work with the "Union Jack" method for Pick3 Lotto. We've even developed some pretty good Excel files that do much if not all of the work based on this method for you.
What I'm doing is more toward developing trends and patterns RATHER than whims and hunches. I'd like to do some statistical analysis of the formulas and see where they take me. Using the Union Jack Mon-Sun gives me three to five times the number of hits (boxed) than the recommended method by the original creator (Atomic Dog). Using the Sat-Fri method gives me much fewer, but MORE consistent patterns I can follow. So it's a toss up, and I'm going to follow both on paper until I build up about 500 dollars to enjoy a few weeks of testing my "own theories" for FUN.
And thats the whole idea behind the lottery. The thrill is the win, the fun is the chance to win and attempting to "beat the odds". Sadly, some folks go way too far and feed the state's coffers more than their fair share. Certainly my dear father has, and without ANY system whatsoever! I am playing on paper right now, figuring out one system at a time and enjoying myself immensely. And by all means, when the need arises and confusion sets in, ASK QUESTIONS here. The majority of the people here have the same helpful mentality to get everyone on the same page--Winning!
Now on an inspiring note, had I played the Pick3 numbers my Excel sheet spit out for this week, I'd be 700 dollars richer as 209 came in straight and it was twice in the Union Jack calculations. Just makes me more excited to keep working at it.
