Hi everyone,
I'm new here. I was just wondering have any of you hit it big yet? if so did you pick your own numbers or let the computer pick them and how much did you have to spend to hit it big? oh and do you pool with other people? there is one pool I was thinking about joining and they pay you 10% of all winnings in your group. Does that sound like a good deal to anyone? It cost 25 a month. but I haven't joined yet. not sure if I would want to.

Hi Arlene:
Welcome to LP.
No one on LP admits it if they've hit big. That might mean no one has, or it mightn't.
I think the general belief is that pools are a bad option. Legal snarls, ripoffs and whatnot.
I think the split is about even between those who pick their own numbers and those who don't. The split is also about even between those who pick their own numbers, but believe it's just luck, and those who believe the numbers aren't random and that the system can be beaten.
As for advice, you'll get more than you ask for. We at Lottery Post Forum know pretty well just about anything a person would want to know about how they should handle their affairs, money, lives, and we generally are willing to volunteer what we know without being specifically asked. Not to suggest any of us is someone a person would want to emulate, insofar as how we handle our own affairs, but we do know a lot about how others should do it.

That pool arrangement is very bad (as are most pool arrangements). The risk-to-reward equation is way off.
What makes lotto-style games good is that the payoff for a small bet is enormous. But when you go into a pool arrangement like you are thinking about, your overall odds really aren't that different, but your reward goes in the toilet.
Don't do it! Instead, read up on the many lotto strategies discussed here now and in the past, and use a good system or wheel to play.
Plus, the lottery is entertainment, and playing like I've suggested is light-years more fun than dumping some money into a pool. (Or, for Europeans, "syndicate".)
One more thing: never, never, never get sucked into one of those dopey e-lottery or virtual world something-or-other "syndicates". They are ripoff artists who sucker thousands of people out of their money. No matter what you hear from them, and no matter how glitzy their graphics and web site are, do not believe them. It's a total fabrication.
Last of all good luck to you, and welcome to Lottery Post!
