# How many total combinations - Tx2Step

I would like to know how many total possible combinations there are for the Tx2Step and I also want to know the same info about the TxCash5.

Does anybody know ?

And also is there a web site where they have this info for any jackpot games anywhere ?

I went to the TLC site and could not find these infos there anywhere.

How many balls do they use, and how many are drawn? Lets call them n and r respectively. To calculate the number of combinations enter n and r into this formula:

n!/r!(n-r)!

Read as "n factorial divided by r factorial times factorial of n minus r".  For n=49 and r=6 the answer is 13,983,816. You can use this online calculator:

NemeSys is right on with the formula for combinations.  There's a quick and easy shortcut to apply the formula.

TxCash5 is a 5/37 matrix.  So take the highest 5 numbers and multiply them together: 37*36*35*34*33.  Then take the lowest 5 numbers and multiply: 5*4*3*2*1.  Then divide the first result by the second.  In other words: (37*36*35*34*33)/(5*4*3*2*1) = 435,897 combinations in TxCash5.

Tx2Step is a 4/35 + 1/35 Matrix.  How many combinations, drawing 4 from 35?  (Highest Four)/(Lowest Four).  35*34*33*32/(4*3*2*1) = 52,360 combinations.  Then you've got the other 1/35 matrix.  52,360*35 = 1,832,600 combos in Tx2Step.

I guess that formula takes into account that numbers can't repeat in other posititons ?

In other words the set of possible combinations is "BOXED" and not "Straight", right ?

Correct. E.g. {1,2,3,4,5,6} is the same as  {6,5,4,3,2,1}. If you want to know the number of permutations the formula is:

n!/(n-r)!

where n and r are defined as before.
