NJ Pick-6 Lotto? That's right, it has rolled to $12 million. Only Powerball and Mega Millions are bigger. I think this could be a long run. Remember when it hit $38,000,000? Pretty good deal for a 6/49.

The NJ6 tends to be hit long before the big numbers comes along. Prior to this run, it  was hit after one draw twice in a row. Prior to that it hit after six draws. The annuity has been $2M, $1.6M, $5,5M, $11M, $7.5M, $8M. etc. Not that those are bad annuity numbers (I would take them in a heart beat), but nothing in the $38M range. The multiple winners for the last year has been 2 in 12; which will reduce that take home. The big advantage is that there is no tax hit, what so ever, in NJ; so when uncle is done, what is left is all yours.

    Cheers

FYI, for those looking for Jackpot info, the main jackpot page on LP is:

      http://www.lotterypost.com/jackpots

Anyone can look up the history of any game's jackpot by clicking on the game name and selecting Jackpot History from the popup menu.  For example, this is New Jersey's Pick 6 jackpot history:

      http://www.lotterypost.com/game/138/jackpot

The page also provides statistics on the jackpot, including the highest jackpot, lowest jackpot, and average jackpot.  (For as far back as our database goes.)

Cool page. Lots of info. Can multi-winner jackpots be added? As I noticed on the NJ website, they list the number of winners. They do not give the depth your listing does.

        Cheers

It can be added, but that is a whole next level of complexity.  Doing so would require that we somehow capture all prize levels and number of winners for all games, which is such a tremndous undertaking that I have not seen any website tackle it so far.  I may try to do it sometime in a year or so -- it's something that is going to require a good amount of effort to do.
