This will help your Pick 4 game picks in a big way . It has helped me in more  than one way.

* Pick 4 Fact :  This is for regular numbers only. Singles.. not doubles etc.

When looking for digits to include in P4 Single numbers you choose that day.... always include a digit from the previous single number that last hit.

The reason? 95% of the time at least one of the digits will return. Sometimes more ..but never less than one will return. Single hit ...to the next Single hit.

"So, the next time you look down at your P4 picks for that day and they don't include at least one digit from the last Single number hit you will lose 95% of the time on the next single." Fact.

There are 10000 possible combinations of 4's using all ten (0-9) numbers, if you eliminate 4 of the numbers there are 1296 possible combinations of 4's (1296 combinations of 4's that don't have any of the four eliminated numbers).  Therefore if yesterday's winning numbers had four different numbers, the odds of any of those numbers being in today's number are (10000-1296)/10000 = 8704/10000 or 87%.

Thanks RJOH.

Going ahead and including the doubles etc. into the mix as the next days possible numbers does lower the chances of a repeat per cent. The other figure was playing just from regular single to single numbers.

Still .....an 87% chance of a repeat even counting in the doubles etc. is more than enough reason to always include at least one of the last digits. It's very high.

One way I enjoy thinking about this is like a drawing in a fish bowl .....full of nothing but regular numbers (non doubles)

Imagine you took 360 Red Balls .with single numbers on them.... and 4,680 Black Balls  ..and mixed them up for a drawing.

The odds of a Red ball rolling down with no repeat digits on it are the same.

The only real failure .....is the failure to try.

Luck is a very rare thing....... Odds not so much.

Odds never change .....but probability does.

WinD said no match

If you took one reapeat from last draw of four digits

Leaves 6 digits. In the four game you trio the digits not pair them.

0123 no match drawn

leaves 456789 = 456-457-458-459-467-468-469-478-479-489-567-568-569-578-579-589-678-679-689-789

24 positions per combo = 480 exact combos

If you have a copy of Maybells QuikWheels program, it can print all the possible combos box or straight and exclude or include the doubles and triples in a second. (Maybells QuikWheels was a free program off the old Maybells website)
