Forgive my ignorance. Is that taxable? $25M Canadian is a buncha American bucks.

      Cheers

It is Tax Free here but not sure how that would work for you in the USA.

I just talked to a friend in Canada - we used to work for the same company. If I won $25M in Canada, and I would be there on the next plane.  I can be bought!  $25M is way over the beginning price. Same for EuroLotto! I spent most of my life overseas on military pay. I would suffer the hardships I would have to endure. Hey, I live in New Jersey, how bad can Montreal be?

          Cheers

It just happened to be the city I enjoyed the most many years ago, so I mentioned it. I have also met some fine women in Calgary.

              Cheers

I'll just leave the cash in Canada (if I was to play and win)! Uncle Sam can't touch what doesn't come into the United States! Nothing wrong with having a summer home on the lake or stream in Canada!

Keep dreaming the impossible dream, it just may come true! Thumbs Up

21 million US dollars (25 C$ at current excange) is fantastic for a 6/49 game especially since it's tax free and cash not an annuity. I can't imagine it will roll past that, it usually doesn't even get that high.

Never been to newfoundland myself, but a good friend of mine lived there for a few years, back in the 80's. He mentioned cold, I mentioned warm. My friend in Calgary mentioned skiing. I asked, water skiing? Did I mentioned I lived in Hawaii for few years? Easily spoiled. Winning a lottery can buy an atmosphere that I would find tolerable.

                      Cheers

Florida jackpot quietly snuck up to $27M - annuity. That will pay for bus fare to safe ground! Insurance will take of the rest.

                          Cheers
