Hi I am trying to do some calculations and analysis on lotto draws based on a pick 6 from 45 lottery

Dos any one know how to do trend analysis on a selected rang of past draws to find if there is a current trend or calculate the current trend and then project that trend for the next draw?

Also how can you calculate the randomness of past draws in a selected rang of draws to find out if they are random or not?

Always trying good luck

Steve

A good math (statistics) book will show you how to do these things, as well as teach you all the fancy terms, tooSmile.

It will show you whether a set of numbers, or the game overall, follows a "normal" distribution or not.

As far as "trending", with a bit of programming, you could determine that by a moving data set. e.g. 500 draws: study drawings 1-100, 2-101, ... 400-499, 401-500.

This is a total of 401 samples, each of sample size 100 drawings. Look at the resulting data (or graphs) like frames of a motion picture. See if there is any "motion".

Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store, not a govnoment agency.

Read Gail Howard's Lottery Master Guide to learn more about trends and trend analysis; examine the book at bn.com or her site or amazon.
