I am deeply saddened to have to be the bearer of this sad news. One of our own, Chief ("kbcherokee"), has passed away.
Chief was a truly good person, and a vital member of Lottery Post. In fact, he was one of the nicest and most generous people I have ever known through this forum, and I can't tell you how much I will miss him.
I received the news by way of a long-time friend who got a phone call from Chief's wife.
Chief was 61, and from what I understand he died fairly quickly due to health complications, and God willing, painlessly. His wife is apparently holding up as well as anyone in her situation could be. Chief also has kids, although I am not sure of how many, or their ages.
Another important thing about Chief was that he was a strong believer in Jesus Christ, and had just received his promotion. For those who know Christ, that should provide a semblance of peace and strength.
All of us at Lottery Post will miss Chief unbearably.
In closing, I would like to post his signature line, which will always stand as a reminder of his good nature.
May the warm winds of heaven blow softly upon your house. May the Great Spirit bless all who enter there. May your moccasins make happy tracks in many snows. And may the rainbow always touch your shoulder.
