I show the following data for the first 6 months of this year.  I am showing the "age" of the moon and how many triples hit on that age.  A full moon would be 14 days so 3 before and 3 after would cover ages 11-17.  A new moon is age 0, so a new moon would cover 26-3.  Some months there are 28 days to the cycle and others there are 29, so I gave a little more leeway to the new moon range of ages.

= 2

= 2

= 3

= 7

= 6

= 1

= 2

= 5

= 4

= 3

= 6

= 4

= 3

= 4

= 4

= 3

= 3

= 9

= 4

= 1

= 1

= 6

= 3

= 4

= 6

= 1

= 4

= 5

= 1

The full moon (11-17) = 21 hits and the new moon (27-3) = 24.  The 1st quarter is age 7, so 3 before and 3 after would give 4-10 and the total hits for that range is 27.  The last quarter is age 21, so that would be 18-24 which has a total number of hits of 28.  So, it looks like the last quarter and 1st quarter have more trips than full or new.
