Hi, It's been a VERY long time since I've used excel. I know the basics, but have forgotten a few things. Was wondering if anyone could help me out with a formula. I am making "system" if you will that I've been trying on paper... but can't quite figure out how to make excel do what I want it to, lol. It's probably very easy, and staring me in the face... any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I hope this doesn't sound too stupid.

How do I make it change a 10 to a 0, an 11 to a 11, 12 to a 2, 13 to a 3, 14 to a 4, etc....

Thank you again to anyone willing to help! I guess I need to get EXCEL for Dummies!

    Format / Cell and change the decimal places.  I always go into help when I forget, no need to purchase a book.

        Exactly what are you trying to do?  Are you just looking to change the numbers??Are you trying to find the last digit of the sum???

        I do not understand what you are looking to do. 

        Please rephrase the question.

          Hi.... ok let me try to explain...

          After adding (say for instance) A3=A2+5    If the answer to this equation is 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 - how can I make it only input a 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9  (10 = 0, 11 = 1, 12 = 2, etc.)

          Sorry if it sounds stupid, it makes sense in my head, just not so sure how to explain it.  I appreciate your help lottaloot - I've followed your posts and am very impressed!

          I'm new at all this and just starting to dabble in it, but I gladly accept all the advice I can get!  Thanks again!

            =RIGHT(A3,1)*1

            Try this & see what happens

            This formula returns only the right side of the result

            10 would result in 0

            11 would result in 1

            If you wanted the Left side

            =LEFT(A3,1)*1

              I used to could zip right through Excel, it's been years since I've tinkered with it. Always fun learning over again though!!! You are a jewel! Thanks again for your help!
