OK, it's $19.5m. Close enough. Good time to play it, as LS may never get this high again with Kentucky probably pulling out in the spring.

Why is KY going out of Lotto South? I wonder what would happen to sales if KY leaves?

Kentucky is getting out of Lotto South because of sagging ticket sales. Evidently the players in Kentucky just aren't interested in this game any longer.

Hoosier Lotto actually is up to $20,000,000 now. It's only a 6/48 game, so it's a better bet right now even though it is drawn by a computer.

6/48 vs. 6/49.  There isn't much of a difference in chances.  Because it's evenly divisible by the number of balls, 48 would be preferable if you're tracking the distribution of balls in the drawings.

Thankfully I have my multi draw LS ticket.

How are you going to win if you don't play?

6/49 Lotto South jackpot odds......... 1:13,983,816

6/48 Hoosier Lotto jackpot odds...... 1:12,271,512

That's a difference of 1,712,304 chances that I don't have to beat in a 6/48 game versus a 6/49 game. I'd say that is indeed a significant difference. For a half million dollars more and the better odds, Hoosier Lotto is clearly the better choice of the two games right now.

Ut oh, you think maybe the Hoosier Lotto is rigged!?  Computer drawn; way above average jackpot; that's kind of suspicious.

Kentucky has both Powerball and Lotto South on the same nights.  They need a game that complements the larger game by drawing on different nights.

The difference in odds between 1/14 million and 1/12.2 million is about 13 percent.

I'd like to see them improve the odds by reducing the matrix to 6/44 (Florida) or by providing extra plays for each dollar (Oregon) or some other dollar amount (Maryland).

I've been saying this for quite some time now.  Lotto South needs to be drawn Monday/Thursday.

                    " Lotto South 3-8-18-22-28-33."

Only 10 of the last 100 drawings have a lower sum than your pick. The sum of 102 has already been hit once this year. I'd try for something in the range from 115 to 165.

Those aren't any predictions those are just my B-day numbers that my mom and I always play.  (For fun)

How are you going to win if you don't play?

You came pretty close on the sum though.

No one hit tonight's draw of 5,8,20,23,24,34.  The jackpot grew to 20.5 mil.

I sat out tonight as I had family errands that kept from completing my list

                          of candidates for tickets.

Good luck to you Tnplayer. I think KY is pulling out because they need to focus on PB for Wednesday and Saturday. Tnplayer, I agreed and wished that Lotto South would be on Monday/Thursday to keep KY in.
