I recently posted this in an other thread about "missing by one".  Here it is again.  This is using the number 123 and picking all the numbers +1 and -1 (27 combos).  Of course, if you are playing for box wins then you need to eliminate any duplicates.

When you use this one digit up, one digit down, do you use the last draw or keep it to mid-day to mid-day and evening  to evening?

What ever seems to work for you!  I do mid to mid and eve to eve.  Find the one that works best for your state.

Back tested Pennsylvania Evening Drawings in Excel

Amount of Past Draws = 365

Amount of Boxed Wins = 48

        Amount of Straight = 9

The interesting thing to look at is when the Hit occured.

In PA Eve 26 hits occured with 5 drawings of the initial hit.

So what this means is to wait for a hit to occur then only play for 5 more days or drawings then stop. Don't chase numbers after the 5th drawing.

Now this is using new data every day. Not using a stack from Sunday and playing the entire week.

I'll have to look at this too.

OK, I tracked one up one down from Jan 1 in Illinois Pick 3....

nada....one time it indicated two of three digits, that's as close as it got.

              Coin Toss,

              Illinois is winning lots.

              Take Saturday night's number...

I went back every Saturday night from Dec 31.

8 wins, 2 straights, 6 boxes.  The straights both came out of Box 2.

If you would like to see a flow chart on one-digit-up and down activity for Illinois since Jan 1 you can email me and I'll send you a pdf file.

It may be necessary to track your States Lottery to find the Delta between Draws which may work better than the +1 / -1 suggested.

Their are 1000 Delta combinations for the Pick 3, so the odds are the same.

                      Delta Counts

                          p p p
                          1 2 3
                      +5 3 4 2
                      +4 3 5 0
                      +3 5 2 6
                      +2 1 1 0
                      +1 2 2 1
                      +0 1 1 2
                      -1 2 2 5
                      -2 4 1 1
                      -3 2 2 4
                      -4 2 5 4

I may be better off using +3,-2 for pos 1, +4,-4 for pos 2, +3-1 for pos 3.
