On average how many times should any one pick three number fall in a 365 year span in one daily draw?

I give up.  How many?

BTW, I don't plan on playing for 365 years.

Perhaps BuzzsawAnn means a 365 days span, one year?

Well, that number floats between 150 and 175 different numbers. (for example, AZ had 154 different boxed combo's last year (but AZ don't draw on sundays i believe?) and NY evening had 171 different combo's)
Box, ofcourse...

For straghts, the amount of numbers runs from 250 to 300.

So, in theory, each number has a 1 in 1000 chance of falling, each day.
Deviding it, the 1000 numbers, by 365 would bring it to 1 in 3 (approx) for each number.
In real draws it's 1 in 4.

And from the numbers' perspective, it's 1 in 1000, each and every day.

Are you talking about "hitting" as a straight, or a box?

One man's straight is another man's boxed. Any 3 digit number ABC is 9 different combinations when boxed you still get paid.

I found this web site that lists every 3 digit number by date and state since at least 1998- some numbers in Il have fallen only one time some numbers have fallen in the year for various states about 135 times. I think htis is a high average.

No 3-digit numbers have 9 different combinations boxed.  There are 3-way (a double), a 6-way (all 3 digits are unique), and a triple.

The number permutations for any 3 digit number where the the digits are different is what I am refering to. If you box your choice you will get paid in IL.

I have 28 states in my db, for 2005 that makes 9755 draws.

Best boxed numbers:

 Nbr Times 134 78 679 77 047 74 457 74 125 73 238 73 239 72 359 71 468 71 257 71

The worst numbers, any way, are 8 triples and 2 doubles. (001 and 226)

Best, straight

 Nbr Times 134 23 271 21 509 21 257 20 528 19 704 19 860 19 832 19 888 19 889 18

That's for 28 states only... worst straight was 139 and 880

Exactly what was you point?

ABC
ACB
BAC
BCA
CAB
CBA

and...?

BTW, a Mersenne prime is defined as a prime number that is 1 less than a factor of 2.

2^2=4, and 3 is a Mersenne prime.

2^3=8, and 7 is a Mersenne prime.

2^4=16, but 15 is NOT prime as its factors are 3 and 5.
