interesting article in the Washington Post today about a New York state rate called Lotto Stats, which publishes statistics and recommendations for the 3- and 4-digit games in New York. they seem to be going almost exclusively on the basis of picking cold numbers that are due.
i have have a similar workout that i've been using for pick-5. i track numbers that are overdue but i also track how frequently that number hits. the more frequent in the past, the better are the odds in the future. furthermore, it seems that when the number starts getting very cold (i.e., the number of days since it last hit becomes much greater than its normal number of days between hits), it usually stays cold.
