"Due to technical difficulties"....

Happened again tonight, the machines jammed on the televised drawing- tonight it was on the Pick 3....this is the fourth time in as many weeks.

 Odd, to say the least.

It happened again last night (1-23-06) They drew the Pick 3, then the Pick 4 (evening), then Little Lotto - then when the guy went to drop the balls for Lotto, nothing happened, the machine jammed.

So when that happen they put up an announcement on the screen, "Due to technical difficulties the lotto results are not available at this time."

Aren't these accounting firms that monitor lottery drawings supposed to make sure the machine is functioning, or that the lottery commission has made sure it is?

I hope they don't take advantage of a few glitches to push for computerized drawings.  That would be a complete disaster.  It's much better to live with a machine-jam every so often.

So how do they make it up for all the people who bought tickets? Is it applied towards the next day's drawing? Or is it a wash?

The jamming may be staged in order to justify dumping Ball Machines and implementing Computerized Drawings.

No, they just go ahead and draw again off the air....the technical difficulties statement says, "Numbers will be available later".

That's what we're thinking..... They changed machines not too long ago, and ever since it's a jam just about once a week...
