I'm sure that this has been discussed here before, but I figured what-the-heck.

NORTH CAROLINA - In development, Powerball

ALABAMA - ???

MISSISSIPPI - ???

NEVADA - I'm guessing not likely, if anything, would be casinos selling powerball

UTAH - Haha! Yeah right...

WYOMING - What's going on with this one?

ALASKA - ???

HAWAII - ???

Wow! My husband and I were just discussing this last night. He was saying that he was surprise that Mississippi didn't have a lottery. But again, the Casinos maybe stopping them.

You forgot to mention that Arkansas has no state lottery either.

Nevada doesn't want a lottery, never has, and that's ridiculous. The Mega Millions progressive slots, in fact, were put in as an answer to lotteries.

When the casino industry started spreading beyond Nevada and Atlantic City, it was thought the holdouts against any gambling at all would be Hawaii (those running illegal gambling don't want the compition, and Hawaii in fact is the lifeblood of a couple of joints in Vegas), Utah- (Mormons), and Tennessee (Baptists).

Well, Tennessee, like Missouri, borders 8 other states. Tennessee now has a lottery as they probably sat down and figured out how many Tennesse dollars were going across state lines to play one in another state.
