I noticed a lot of you bought these Euro Millions tickets, despite the fact they come at $5 a pop. So what if your lottery came out with a game that costs $5 a line? Here's my idea for such a game.

Pick 6 out of 49.

Price : $5

Minimum Jackpot : $7,000,000 Cash.

Avg. Prize
Odds
Match 6/6
CASH JACKPOT
1 : 13,986,816
Match 5/6
$21,674
1 : 54,200.8
Match 4/6
$412
1 : 1,032.4
Match 3/6
$22
1 : 56.7
Match 2/6
$6
1 : 7.6

Overall Odds : 1 in 6.622

Such a concept could see a $75,000,000 cash jackpot about once a year if it's spread out to enough places. Pretty good for a 6/49.

And don't lambast me for coming up with a $5 game. I'm only creating games based on your play habits.

I'd probably play it, no more than two draws per week, and that would probably stop any other play, Pick 3, 4, Little Lotto, etc...

But the average prizes you suggest for the odds given are far more genrous than any lottery I can think of. This is from an Illinois lottery playslip:

    (6/52)

    Second prize (5 of 6) Odds 1:73,762.

The prizes for that run around $900-$1200. Granted you're talking a $5 ticket but when it comes to lotteris the difference between payoffs and true odds (what they should pay) is astronomical.

Thanks for the response. Quite frankly this is one of those games that I create, but would rarely play.

And I think this would work best as a once-weekly game.

Maybe you should get in touch with your dark side and devise games for the Indiana state lottery.

Anyways there is already a good 6/49 game in Canada for only $2 canadian. Personally I think they should move it to a 6/52 game.

          No problem!

If you're talking as someone who plays, why would you want it to go from 6/ 49 to 6 /52?

          Just curious.

Higher jackpots without a dramatic change in odds. Canada is still a big country and the 6/49 game is nation wide.

I also didn't mean to hijack the thread. I would like to see Jimmy do a Indiana style game if he was in charge of a dishonest lottery and wanted to keep it that way.

O.K. I made a slight update to the game. I added a 5+Bonus feature. It did hurt the other prizes, but I think the addition of an extra prize level which could also reach into the millions would really help the game and the big proportions it's trying to aspire to.

                Price : $5 a ticket

So it's kinda like NY Lotto, except a bigger jackpot, and a bigger price.

Make it 2 lines for $5 and I may play it.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.
