  The proximity to a hit THIS SATURDAY is best measured by the number of 2nd prize winners in prior draws.  10-15-05 had 21 2nd prize hits suggesting EXACTLY 50% of the possible powerballs (out of 42) were chosen. The very next draw (a new record pot) had 49 2nd prize hits suggesting ALL 42 powerballs (some repeating) were chosen.
  
  The SLEW of 2nd prizes wins approaching Saturday's draw this time around is actually SLOWER than last fall. Except for the fact this is a new record PB pot with the unique publicity it generates, I think several more rollovers are likely and always possible.
