Arizona man's lottery ticket wins on every line

Arizona Lottery

Everyone dreams of purchasing a lottery ticket that has the winning numbers, but what about a $5 ticket that has winning numbers on each and every line — including one with the winning jackpot numbers?

About three months ago, Louis Cooper, Tucson, began playing the Arizona Lottery again, after a brief hiatus, using some special numbers he liked and some suggested by a friend, who just happens to be a psychic. This friend also gave him a lucky stone that he wears around his neck.

Louis' five-line The Pick ticket had one line worth $40, two lines worth $1,000 each, one line worth $10,000 and one line was the jackpot worth $1 million — all this on one ticket. To the best of the Arizona Lottery's knowledge, this ticket is truly one-of-a kind.

When Louis first took his ticket is to be scanned at the store, he and the clerk thought he had only won $10,000. It wasn't until he arrived at the Lottery office in Tucson that he discovered that he had indeed won $10,000, plus a few other lines and, of course, the jackpot.

Having been a farmer most of his life, Louis knows the value of money and the importance of saving for a rainy day. His daughter said that "when me and my siblings were growing up, our parents would often do without so their children would have what they needed."

After taking some time to think it over, Louis decided to take the cash option as opposed to the annuity and ended up with a check for $621,796 after taxes. He plans to invest his money after consulting with his financial advisor and may consider getting a "newer" car.

In fact, according to his daughter, after he had collected his winnings from the Lottery he decided to treat himself to a new hat. However, it didn't have to be fancy — a hat from the local hardware store would do just fine.

Congrats and what luck! Personally I use the Aventurine (green) stone for good luck. Since luck can be interpreted in different ways, I choose to beleive I've been given more luck by wearing it.

Glad to read that the gent knows the value of money! The sheer fact that he simply wanted a new hat (and not an expensive one) shows sensibility. May he be showered with many more years of good health and close family memories!

Lottery Post has wide assortment of wheels in resources from pick 5 to pick 6 wheels. I have used the pick 5 filtered wheel myself. You could have multiple wins on more than one line if a lot of the numbers drawn are in the numbers selected for the wheel.

This is just a sample of the many different wheels.

It's not unusual for a player to wheel 7 or 8 numbers in 5 lines, it's just unusual to have all the winning numbers in a wheel that small.  That could happen to anybody playing a 5 lines wheel with 7 or 8 numbers if they're lucky.

Basically what a wheel is is to take like 15 or 20 numbers like in your case and to enter the numbers into a wheeling program or do it on your own and create a mix of numbers into the play lines where you use all the numbers to a maximum benefit as possible.
I will go do a 15 number wheel and be back with an edit to this post.

This is a 15 number full wheel for pick 6 game. There are a huge number of lines in this full wheel. I only pulled like 80 of the around 5,000 lines.
If you are serious about investigating wheels an upgrade of membership will give you access to the many wheels available here at Lottery Post.
Look over the different wheels avalable and there is much info in each different wheel as to what it will do for you.
Do a search here at lottery Post for wheels and you may find a lot of discussion about lottery wheels.

This here is a much better description of what wheels are and the different types available to members.

Lottery Wheeling Systems

What is a Lottery Wheel?

Lottery Wheel Systems are a method of playing lottery games, in which the player buys several tickets, and arranges the numbers on the tickets in such a manner that they will have a guaranteed winner if the drawing results fall within a certain range of numbers.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of possible wheel combinations, but they all boil down to three key elements:

  1. The minimum guarantee (for example, I want to match a minimum of 3 numbers),

  2. The number of lottery numbers drawn that must fall within your set of numbers in order to guarantee a prize, and,

  3. How many different numbers you're including in the wheel.

A short version of the 3 key elements of the wheel is:

  • Guaranteed X-win if Y of the numbers drawn are in your set of Z numbers.

Shorter still, the common nomenclature to describe a wheel is:

  • X if Y of Z.

For example, if you want to pick 14 different numbers in your wheel, and you want to be guaranteed at least a 4-number match if 5 of the numbers drawn are within your set of 14, then the wheel would be specified as 4 if 5 of 14.  (Some people will even remove the spaces to make it 4if5of14.)

You will often see wheels described with additional digits and letters, which describe the total number of lottery numbers drawn for the game (i.e., the number 6 will be included for a Pick 6-style game), as well as F, A, or K to describe a Full, Abbreviated, or Key Number lottery wheel type (more on that subject below).

As you can probably imagine, as your set of numbers widens, and as you increase your guarantee to a greater number of matches, the number of tickets needed to play the system can become quite large.  Therefore, it is very important to set your expenditure limits before choosing a wheel to play, and not to risk money that would otherwise be paying the rent or heating bill.  (Remember, it's entertainment, so don't spend a lot of money unless you have the resources to do so.)

Also, the word "guarantee" needs to be taken in the right way: do not think you're going to win every time, because even with a wheel, you're still only covering a very small set of the game's total combinations.

As mentioned above, there are three different types of wheels, which offer different levels of coverage of your numbers, and ultimately controls how much money you're going to spend buying tickets.  The three different wheel types are:

  1. Full Wheels (All members have access) - Covers all possible combinations of the selected set of numbers.  The advantage to a full wheeling system is that because all possible winning combinations are present in your tickets, you are guaranteed to win several prizes if three or more numbers drawn are within your set of wheeled numbers.  The drawback to a full wheeling system is that these wheels produce a large number of tickets/costs and may not be the best way to play for most people's lotto budget.  Full wheels can be ideal for large pools of players.

Filtering (Gold and Platinum members have access) - We have provided a huge assortment of filters to reduce the number of combinations included in your Full Wheel.  This will allow you to craft the resulting number wheel such that any combinations that do not match the filter criteria you specify are eliminated form the wheel.  Filtering is only available on Full Wheels, because the Key Wheels and Abbreviated Wheels would lose their guarantees if filtered.

  2. Key Wheels (Gold and Platinum members have access) - Works like an Abbreviated Wheel (see below), except that each ticket will contain your key number.  Use a key wheel if you're sure that a certain number will definitely appear in the results, and you want the benefits of mathematically-reduced Abbreviated Wheel.

  3. Abbreviated Wheels (Platinum members have access) - Does not cover all possible combinations, but guarantees at least one winning ticket if a certain amount of numbers drawn fall within your wheeled number set.  Abbreviated wheels are a good balance between wide coverage of numbers and a reasonable budget, and may be more suitable for the solo lottery player.  When choosing a wheel, look for the criteria that must be met in order to guarantee a win, as well as the number of tickets that must be purchased.  Lottery Post features some of the best abbreviated wheels available anywhere.  In most cases they are exceptionally well-balanced and mathematically-minimal, providing unique value and benefit.

Abbreviated Wheels are often the most sought-after, because they offer the unique combination of good coverage for a reasonable budget.  Using an Abbreviated Wheel is mathematically superior to using a filter to reduce "excess" number combinations, because you still retain a guarantee of winning a prize if you match some numbers.  With a filter you have no such guarantee.

Some of the Pick 6 Abbreviated Wheels available to Lottery Post Platinum members are based on the hand-crafted, mathematically-minimal lottery wheels constructed by Iliya Bluskov in his book Combinatorial Lottery Systems (Wheels) with Guaranteed Wins.  Several of the wheels offer significant reduction in the number of tickets that must be played to guarantee a win.  For example, Gail Howard's System #513 (4if5of20) has a minimum purchase of 216 tickets, whereas the Lottery Post 4if5of20 Abbreviated Wheel (created by Bluskov) only requires 145 tickets to be purchased — a reduction of 66 tickets for the same guarantee!

To use a lottery wheel, first click on the game type below, which will take you to the page containing all the wheels available for that game type.  Then, after you select a wheel, you will enter the numbers to include in the wheel, and then the wheel will be automatically created for you.

Good luck!

And Em could you please tell me what the stone would be for an Aries? Thanks!!!

Speaking of wheels, Gold and Platinum members get some really great options for filtering Full wheels.

You can see all the options available to you, even if you're a Standard member, by clicking into any Pick 5 or Pick 6 Full wheel, and then clicking the button to reveal the Filters section.

The filters are a way of creating customized and unique wheels, based on whatever ways you like to play.  And you can keep tinkering with the filters until you bring the number of lines down to an amount that's in your budget.

Thanks Todd, We are going to check out the upgrades to  get, I think that it will benefit us since we play 4 drawings a week and even some times the Lotto Play ( which they are giving a free ticket for everyone that you purchase  Thurs thru sat )  I am the one that in our pool gets the BASIC  combo's then when my Brain get tired  I pass my combo's onto one of the pool memebers and let them figure out additonal combintaions, I am sure that they would be tickled to see me have access to something like that since there are some weeks that I like to do Auto but then there are more weeks that I like to pick my own Approve So what do ya think  Baibeeee? Ya wanna get it? :D

Sure Darlin! Go for it!!!

The basic combos we have hit so close so often, it would be a good investment to be able to have that. And hey, worst case scenario, it'll keep us @ the same level of winning, but that might just be the golden ticket! And I like alot of gold! (Since you anyhow LOL)

Do the wheels work off previous probability too? or just off the numbers you choose?

Sassy,

There are some really great wheels available for Mega Millions and Powerball, if your pool likes to do anything other than Quick Picks.

Foe example, I love to play Mega Millions with the Abbreviated 2 if 5 of 56 Pick 5 wheel.  It produces 46 lines, which allows you to have each Mega Ball number in play.  (BTW, when you use that wheel, you can just click the Quick Picks button to fill up the spaces randomly, if you wish.)

Because you know that one of your tickets will match the Mega Ball, you also know that the ticket that matches the Mega Ball has a 1 in 3,904,701 chance of winning the whole jackpot.  That's a big difference from the initial odds of 1 in 175,711,536!

That, combined with the fact that you'll get at least a 2-number match on one of the tickets makes it a great wheel for Mega Millions, IMHO.  Most of the time I get multiple 2-number matches.  For example, when I played the wheel on Tuesday, I had the 45 and 46 on five different lines.  Too bad I couldn't string them together with any other numbers, but it was cool to be so close.

There are similar wheels available for Powerball.

Awesome Todd, Thanks .. that is all that I play with my pools is both the MM And the PB My roomate and I do the other online lotto that is smaller payout just with us Pick 3 and 4,  Lotto Play and Rolling Cash. I am looking forward to getting in it and using the method and seeing what all I come up with and how it increases the chances for us!!! Banana As it is now we get so flustered every week cause we get SO CLOSE  alot of the times off my a number or so Or have all the same numbers as drawn combined on 3 different lines ( INCLUDING THE BALL )  Bang Head  Like the powerball numbers last night we all know the numbers  16, 26,34,35,41  24  ok we had 2 tickets that were close !!!  13,26,33,34,41  19  GRRRR  that is what we do all the time so hopefully i find a method in the "wheel" that will help us get a little more closer  or jump on it with BOTH FEET!!!!White Bounce

another is turquoise.(sp?) Stay away from any stone that is manufacturered (man made crystals). As a sagit myself, I stick with basic stones and gems. Rarely mixing them when wearing or carrying. Be sure to cleanse them prior to wearing as karma has a way of following a person when handled by others.

Thanks GameGirl!, Cleanse then with anything particular? Or just like with water and soap? And is there any type of store or online that you would recommend me to go to and get them?

I really do not play lotto games that much. I am primarily a pick 3 player.
However last year I got bored with pick 3 tracking and looked into my instate S.C. cash 5 game for a couple months.
What I was doing was keeping track of the numbers by sorted position. Sorted position are the draw results placed in ascending order like you see them on results pages.
Anyhow I picked my numbers for play and used the filtered wheel by position. I placed my chosen numbers in the position I thought they would fall in and wheeled them out. I arranged the chosen numbers so as to create minimal lines to play.
I had chosen a set of numbers and run them out one time getting about 20 lines. I did not continue playing them but I had multiple 4 of 5 on quite a few lines within about 2 weeks after wheeling.
I only done that for a couple months and stopped playing the 5 game.

This is by sorted position. These are the draw results for The S.C. 5
South Carolina Palmetto Cash 5

I'm a Leo. But I don't care about the zodiac. The NY Lottery once had scratch tickets, one for each of the 12 signs.
