An amazing 55 NSW winners have shared last night’s $22 million Powerball jackpot, each winning $404,583.48.

The winners were all part of a single NSW Lotteries network-wide syndicate entry, with each member paying just $20.40 to share in a System 14 entry.

Syndicate entries, where the cost of a large systems entry can be shared by multiple players, have figured prominently in recent prize wins. Each player receives their own entry and can claim their prize separately from other syndicate members.

o wow, im from australia, im not as sad now i didnt win the $22 mill all to myself, still $404k is more than i won which was zilch.

$20 an entry is too much for me to pay. but man im gonna have to do something to compete with these system 14 enties.

just for the record a system entry is what would be called a full wheel of 14 numbers, ie every combo of those selected 14 are entered. so the full cost was like $1100

      A $20 investment for $400,000 isn't too bad. =)

That's true savagegoose. Rarely do I put more then $15 on more then one jackpot. I usually only play about $3 to $5 dollars at a time. That's my budget.
