What BA is doing is taking the Root Sums of each of the last 5 draws in which there are 3 Digits Out. He adds those Root Sums together and takes the average. From there, he is predicting that a number resulting in the average root sum, and one digit above the average and one digit below the average will fall.
For instance, there is a situation where Digits 1, 4 & 7 are out.
This is the "indicator".
Then he takes those 5 draws in which these numbers are out. Let's say it looks like this:
0-3-8
1-2-9
6-8-0
5-5-3
2-0-8
The Root Sums of these are as follows:
0-3-8 = 0+3+8 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 (Root Sum)
1-2-9 = 1+2+9 = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3 (Root Sum)
6-8-0 = 6+8+0 = 14 = 1 + 4 = 5 (Root Sum)
5-5-3 = 5+5+3 = 13 = 1 + 3 = 4 (Root Sum)
2-0-8 = 2+0+8 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1 (Root Sum)
Then he adds these Root Sums together: 2 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 1 = 15
Then takes the average: 15/5 (draws) = 3
So, a number with the Root Sum of 3, as well 2 (1 behind) and 4 (1 ahead) to make another average of 3, should fall within 7 days.
Now, let's say that 3-1-8 falls, that is a root sum of 3 + 1 + 8 = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3, which is a winner.
He is now also narrowing numbers that include the digits out (1 4 & 7) that have root sums of 2, 3 or 4 as the "playable" numbers. He is also considering narrowing to those in which the Total Sums are 11-20.
That's how he's arriving at these situations.
A new twist for BA:
When you add the root sums together, like in this example 15. Then maybe you could also use THAT root sum 1 + 5 = 6 to fall within 7 days as well. And use the narrow down technique that you described.
So....
Use Root Sums 2, 3, 4, AND 6, and numbers that include 1,4&7 for digits out AND fall in the Sums 11-20.
