I was just curious about the topic of anonymity, and I came across this article

 http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06049/657569.stm

Only three states allow winners to be completely anonymous under ALL circumstances whatsoever (Delaware, North Dakota, and Kansas).  Some other states will allow it, but only if you have an attorney claim the prize or until a Freedom of Information Act is requested.  If you find any other articles about this topic, let me know.

Smart lottery winners form trust to claim their winnings.  They send an attorney to the lottery headquarters to claim the prize in trust, so that ONLY the name of the trust is revealed.  And they tell NO ONE, especially relatives.

If you ever win a lottery and you are single, the only person you should ever marry is someone who was truly in love with you BEFORE you won the jackpot!

But Powerball always uses the ball sets, regardless of which states participate !!!

Good find, rundown.  But I think your sentence should read, "Only three Powerball states allow winners to be completely anonymous under ALL circumstances whatsoever (Delaware, North Dakota, and Kansas)."  The article did not address the situation in Mega Million states nor in states that have state lotteries but are not associated with multi-state lotteries.

          You're right

Those three states (Delaware, North Dakota, and Kansas) are the three POWERBALL states where someone can win a jackpot anonymously under all circumstances.
