There might be a trend happening here.  It looks like a lot of states are doing repeats in the pick 4...TN, IL and now MD.  NJ also had this same pick 4 number yesterday.

It's just incompetence on the part of the Maryland lotto employees. When I originally saw the same exact combo from yesterday's midday listed, I went to their website. (yeah, sure it can happen...but what staggering odds)

On the home page they showed 8462 as today's draw. But when you went to "winning numbers" their history showed today's draw was 5215. Todd's feed for the results page (I strongly suspect) gets its drawing combinations from what is reported on the various states homepages.

They need someone who enters the numbers to also know how to work a computer.

Based on what I've seen in monitoring the states' home pages, Maryland is without a doubt the absolute worst state for reporting the correct results.

Earlier this week they posted the Match 5 results in the Mutli-Match space.  At least once a week the date is completely wrong -- like for example they had "Wednesday, June 8", even though the 8th was Thursday.

If I was a Maryland resident I would be complaining to them a lot.

The drawings take place a WJZ's studio. I suspect that someone in the control booth is supposed to send the information out to the AP Press. Who knows that person might be talking to someone while the drawings are taking place and not paying attention to their job. As apparent by the many times they get it wrong. To make matters worse the person handling the web pages for maryland also gets it wrong.

Whomever oversees the operation probably could care less that mistakes are made. That why they have a disclamer saying until verified by the maryland state lottery
