Can anyone recommend a good wheeling program that captures the best selection of numbers. I have no problem selecting the winning numbers but when I use programs like Gail Howard to do my wheeling I never seem to be able to get all the winning numbers on the same ticket even if I was able to select all 5 or 6 numbers correct. Any suggestion would be appreciated

That's probably because you don't use strong enough wheels.

Use reduced wheels which at least can guarantee 5 out of 6 numbers correct if possible.

Steve, I would recommend getting a membership here and using Todd's wheels. In my opinion, they are some of the best wheels around.

              steve3656,

Your biggest concern when using a wheel would be how large you want your number set to be.  So rather than being concerned with the size of the lottery drawing pool (e.g., 39 or 59 numbers), you'll want to do some thinking about how many numbers you want to include in you wheel.  Do you want 18 numbers?  15 numbers?  Etc.

Once you figure that out (as well as which numbers you're using), you'll then want to decide on what your guarantee will be, since that is going to be largely dependant upon your budget.  Also, you have the opportunity to use a key wheel, which can cut the number of combinations in half, but with somewhat more risk, since the wheel guarantee is only valid if your key number is drawn.

The best thing to do is to experiment, since it is very cheap to experiment when you're not actually buying all of those tickets!  Try lots of different wheel types and methods, and see what works best for you BEFORE actually buying tickets.

The Gail Howard wheeling program clearly tells you how many winning numbers you can expect to have on a single line with "X" numbers correct.

If you can predict all the winning numbers among a larger field, you need to play a full wheel to guarantee all the winning numbers on one line for a jackpot (expensive).  Otherwise you have to accept a lower tier prize guarantee.

                      http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/136458 (the one by pumpi76)...

All you will need is trap the winning numbers in 15 or 16. So the question doesn't become can you predict the 1 winning combination, but can you forecast 15 numbers trapping the 6 winning numbers consistently, something 40% of the time..I'll say that you could create a 2, 5 of 6 tickets if you trap the 6 winning numbers in 15 for 200 sets (currently is 346 sets ). In Powerball a 5of 6 pays 200,000 each ticket and in California Superlotto a 5of6 pays 20,000 each ticket...So even if you did get those 6 numbers in the 15, Ten percent of the time, you still come up winning. Here is where the challenge comes, Powerball and Superlotto are both pick5 + pick1. [here comes the belief] I believe there are code breakers and geniuses outhere that have figure out ways to "wire" the numbers, in a very optimize and efficient way, overcoming this problem and still be able to use a pick6 wheel for pick5 + pick1 games. I say, is all in the "wiring" of the numbers...If you learned how to wire the numbers, all you needed is to contain the 6 winning numbers in 15 numbers, and you'll be all set..

steve3656: why pursue NY lotto that has 59 numbers when you can pursue mega millions or powerball that has 55 or 56 numbers and pays more than NY lotto, even if is a 5of 6...
If you can trap the 6 winning numbers in 15 or 16, you could make lots of money. lots of it...
