I recommend that if you want a very good explanation about Roulette systems you read

The Eudaemonic Pie by Thomas a Bass.

Very interesting.

Interesting that you brind up roulette.  My friend and I have just begun discussing this fascinating, tantalizing game.

I hold that the guy what starts the ball rolling ( there is a word for this position ) can pretty much time his/her/its throw so that the ball will hit in or near his/her/its target.

I know if I had the job of starting that little ball to spinning, I would be looking at the double zero slot and let the little sucker go just when the double zero reached the two o'clock position.

If all else remains the same, the ball should drop into the same slot or a next door slot almost every time.

Do Coupier's (I think that is the title of the roulette spinner) get a per centage of the table's gross during his/her/its shift?  If so, then he/she/it would profit by being able to hit a specific slot.
