  I think lottery players are due for one large Jackpot before the year is up, and my money is on Mega Millions.  What do you think?

  Yeah, I think it's once again Powerball's turn to go on a string of low jackpot wins and Mega to get high pots.

  delS, I say none of the above. I think PB will stop having PB jackpot winners in a row. However, PB will come closest to 260+ million again.

  I think anyone waiting for $260M-$300M jackpot for Christmas is dreaming and I hope they continue to have a happy dream because that is probably as good as it will ever get for them.  Those who dream of winning a lottery jackpot regardless of the amount have a better chance of realizing their dream because many of the jackpots are won before they had a chance to roll.  Most players would be happy with a $5M-$15M Xmas jackpot.

  My modeling programs, for what they're worth, estimate that thereis a 15% of an MM jackpot over $200M annuity and an 11% chance of a Powerball jackpot of this size. 

  Note that the Powerball jackpot would be worth much less money in cash terms.

  The MM jackpot has an even shot, roughly of getting to $100M but the PB has an even shot at only getting to $100M.

  It's all luck however.  It is impossible to predict exactly.   Anything could happen.   Both jackpots could be huge by Christmas or both could experience a lot of low jackpot winners.

  I for one would be very happy with taking home $4mill after hitting the $15mill jackpot.....it doesn't take much to keep me happy.....I can only eat 4 meals a day......can only sleep in one room at a time....can only drive one car at a time.....so you see I can be quiet content. BTW I am doing all those things right now....I'd just like to do them without having to report to work in the morning....hehehehe

  As long as the winner doesn't become another Jack Whiittaker story - he won big on/around Christmas.  Of course, if it's me , I'll be certain not to relive his tragic story...
