Got any states out there with overdue stats? Example: all even, all odd, series numbers etc....
Thanks,
Bryan :)
Take for example, the GA Pick 4 MID DAY. Series (consecutives) haven't fallen in 127 draws... but the average for a consec to hit in that game over the entire 1342 draws is only 38 draws. So 127 draws is only 3.3 times more than normal. Is this "overdue"? The 127 draws it is missing is the most it has ever been out. But in other P4 games where there have been more draws than 1342 in the entire game, consecs have been out a lot longer. If we only really knew what constitutes "overdue", we'd have a better starting point.
Hit average---
I am still having problems with this concept. Can someone dummy this down where I can understand it?
I feel that once I understand this, I can make better lottery pick choices.

Thanks Jap. Finally after 2 years I think I understand this concept now.

I am still having problems with this concept. Can someone dummy this down where I can understand it?
I feel that once I understand this, I can make better lottery pick choices.
Hello Lottaloot! I'll will try and explain this to you in simple and mathematically accurate terms. Hopefully this helps you.
The "natural" group of consecutive Pick 4 numbers consists of only 7 combos, they are:
0123
1234
2345
3456
4567
5678
6789If you also include the "unnatural" consecutive by allowing the zero to be a consecutive of nine, then you have three more to add to the group: 7890, 8901, 9012.
Im sure you know that each of the combos plays 24 ways boxed, so there is 24 straights for each...or however you want to look at it.
The odds for the group of 7 are 1 in (10,000) ÷ (7 x 24), which equates to about 1 in 59.52.
If you also include the 3 "unnaturals" then the odds are 1 in (10,000) ÷ (10 x 24). This equates to about 1 in 41.67.
Over the course of many conecutive games, lets say 10,000 games, You can expect the "natural" group of 7 to hit with a frequency of about 168 times or the combined group of 10 to hit about 240 times.
Now, for what you probably don't want to hear: Forget about the numbers hitting at an average skip, or even at one or two times the average skip. Averages don't usually work for predicting random numbers (or groups of numbers) in a lottery. As an example, pretend the numbers below are all skips:
23 19 74 134 57 8 326
Im sure you probably know this, but to get the average you simply add them all up and divide the total by the amount of skips that you have. In this case, there are 7 skips listed and when you add them together, you get a total of 641. Dividing 641 by 7 gives you the average of 91.57. None of the skips listed are really even close to 91 or 92, except maybe 74. Point is, even with hundreds of skips surveyed in an average, the actuall value of the average will only be close to a very small portion of the actual skips.
Averages don't work because the laws of probability CLEARLY dictates that skips will not hit at equal distances. Actually, there is a specific probability for equal distance hits to occur, but it's so astronomically small that you will most likely never see it happen with any regularity. Here is how you can EXPECT to see the skips unfold for your Pick 4 group of consecutive:
------- group of 7 Boxed = 168 straights --------
50% of the time when one of the numbers from the group hits, another number from the group will hit again WITHIN 41 games (yes, this could easily be the same number that last hit). Not coincidentally, very close to 50% of all the skips for the group will have a value between 1 and 41!!!
Suppose the group is going to miss its 50% chance and stay out longer than 41 games. There is about a 75% chance that it will hit within 82 games of its last draw. I don't mean to imply that the time between 41 and 82 games is a 75% chance, actually it's another 50% chance, but it can be calculated that when the group hits, there is a 75% chance that it will hit again within 82 consecutive games. Not coincidentally (again), 75% of all the groups skips will have values between 1 and 82.
90% of the skips should be between 1 and 136, this is because there is a 90% chance that the group will hit again within 136 games of its last hit.
There are many ways of looking at it, and just as many ways to break it down. So when is the group actually due? I'd say when it misses its 99% chance, which is about 272 consecutive games. But then again, the even higher 99.9% chance is out there at about 408 games. Fortunately, the group will not make it out that far most of the time. It's interesting to note that 408 games (the 99.9% chance) is just about ten times the amount of the 41 games that it takes for a 50% chance. HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU FLIP A QUARTER ON HEAD WITHOUT IT LANDING ON TAILS?
...in the end, we're still tossing coins.

Hi Kimberlee,
When I ask a question like that. I am asking what is out of the normal for the tracking that most people do. True, it is very different for different people, but it still may be out of the norm. I have stated several times that I always use 365 drawings to get my stats. I have tried many different drawing amounts to get my stats from, but they always seem to work better with 365 for me. The perfect example of how well this works is in my MO Eve thread I just finished. Hopefully, you can read the chart below. I had to make it small. I could not get it to upload when it was bigger and more clear to read. Besides, I may be one of the few that have their display set to 1280X1024. (It looks small to me).
Look at the blue box section in the right-hand corner. The last column reads "Most Out". The 3rd column from the right reads "Current Skips". Now, if you go down the rows you will see different stats. The first is triples. The Current Skips and Most Out match at 216 in this example. That means, I believe this stat is due. If you go down to the 7th row you see Consecutive (series no. 123-234 etc...) Current Skips at 35 most out for the year is 42. Go down to All Even, Current Skips was 18, but it has not be out more than 23 in a full year of drawings. All Odd was the same way. Current Skips at 19. No more than 22 for a full year of drawings (365). When Current Skips gets close to yearly Most Out, I play them. These stats are from Oct.1st for MO evening. I made a post that said, "MO needed it all. Triple, Doubles, (play doubles every 3 days in MO. It's current skip was at 3.) a Series, All Even and All Odd." Since most stats were within 5 days from yearly max. I said give them 5 days. Remember this was from Oct.1st.
on Oct 2nd 411 was drawn (doubles)
on Oct 3rd 091 was drawn (series/consecs)
on Oct 5th 537 was drawn (all odd)
on Oct 7th 828 was drawn (all even)
That took care of every stat out but triples in 6 days and I said to give it 5 days. See how well that works!!
You can see the whole thread here:
https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/142283
If you have any questions, give me a holler.
Oh, and the stats page you are looking at is part of the VersaBet Program, for those of you that may be wondering...
Best of Luck,
Bryan :)

Thank you to everyone here for such a great read. Really enjoy these so much. Just finished reading it for the 3rd. time and will do it again as soon as I have another cup of coffee.
I really wish we could keep this sort of thread going forever!

This is a hit skip I like to work with.
This is for S.C. draws.
The 1 and 6 code is biased but I can live with it.
Figure the exact order of the code pair and figure the x spot for an exact order.

If you have any questions, give me a holler.
Oh, and the stats page you are looking at is part of the VersaBet Program, for those of you that may be wondering...
Best of Luck,
Bryan :)

Posted this on the 8th and 5 days later we get the triple. All stats satisfied in 12 days. All but 1 within 6 days. This method really can be very helpful.

Bryan, do you have a one of these groups that you favor a lot of the time? Maybe the all odd or even groups.....etc.
I have groups that I like and track that are just made up. Below their RADAR groups..LOL
Is there a place on Versa bet that would allow you to insert say.... 10 arbitrary (made up) numbers to track with the same type of stats shown above? Thanks
Does anyone have such a software out there?

Yes, Versabet allow you to make new games with any info you choose that can be filtered just like any of the others. I used it to track Vtracs way before they added that feature to the main stream of the program. Any info you wish to add, it works with it. There are some kinks occasionally but they are few and far between. As far as groups I watch, nothing really. I just watch the yearly max numbers if they get close I play them. You would be really surprised how many times the group falls within 2 days before or 2 days after the yearly max. There are exceptions to those rules as well though, Like in MI, I was watching a yearly max on a series there and started playing them. I played for about 10 days and never got anything and the last I checked it still hadn't hit. It blew it's yearly max out of the water. But that is very rare...
WIN D,
I sent you a message to your e-mail address (again). Let me know if you get it.
Later,
Bryan :)
