      That is very sad news.  I loved all of his music-he will be greatly missed.

        Definitely! I loved his powerful soulful voice and I also liked the kind of person he became..it is truly sad and he will be greatly missed.  The other person I liked, Jack Palance also died.  He was  (I think) 87.

        If you know your number is going to hit, have patience and then KILL IT!

        You never know when you will get another hit.

            For sum reason Jack and Geralds death hit me kinda hard.. Palance was the man in City Slickers despite his great body of work in the past he'll always be Curly to me.. And words can't descibe what an amazing talent and person Gerald Levert was.. But lets not forget Ed Bradley too.. 60 minutes just won't be the same.. Life is a funny thing huh?

                  Initially, I thought it was some type of hoax. I am a die-hard Gerald fan. I have each one of his CD's, and have seen him in concert several times. What a coincidence that a couple of weeks ago, I took 4 of his CD's in my car for listening. I will miss his wonderful smile and silky voice. RIP Velvet
