I was able to get my excel 2003 up and running again thanks to a post by Mary Sauer at http://www.officehelp.in/ Re: YS561401.CAB grrr office 2003.

"Try running setup by double clicking PRO11.MSI or right click it and choose "install" menu. Not sure why this problem occurs, but I suspect it's due to another wizard/wrapper that launches with regular setup and asks to click "finish" after installation is finished."

BTW: I did get Open Office but I thought it was more complicated.

It paid not to give up.

EXCALIBUR is no more that "Handle" is dead, gone.
Maybe sometime in the future I might come back as LANTERN again, but maybe not, if I don't come back as LANTERN in the future then I won't come back at all, but as I said there is no more EXCALIBUR.

gotta keep this fix in mind if I move up to '03. I'm asking for opinions from other users of OO, too. Trying to decide between it (love the price) and keeping up with our $tandard.
