Fellow Forum Members,

I have read Prof. Jones book titled "Winning Lotto / Lottery for Everyday Players" and I want to apply his Positional Analysis stratagy.  I think it's worth a try.  The only problem I'm having is that in order to apply Positional Analysis I need to obtain the past Florida Lotto results with the numbers shown in the order they originally came out of the lottery machine. I have searched all over the internet with no success. Every website that offers past Florida Lotto results seems to only offer the data with the ball order of  all the numbers changed to ascending order.  Is there anyone out there that has compiled all Florida Lotto and MegaMoney data shown in original ball order position?  Does anyone out there have any idea where I would have the best luck to find this data? It's hard to believe that there is no website in the world that offers Florida Lottery data in original ball order position.  Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

        Never thought about that!

That might just work.  Good idea EmilygSmile

I thought I remembered reading here somewhere that results such as these were automatically placed in ascending format.

If they tell you that they don't make make that info available to the public, try sending them a freedom of information request under the FOA guidelines.  They may charge you around 25 cents per page though.

Check if the lottery has earlier draws available to watch online on their website.

Thanks to everyone for their post.  I have managed to talk to someone that works in the lottery office in Tallahassee.  All I got from the representative is a "I will ask around and try to this data for you".  If they don't have this data available I guess I'm out of luck because there is no other way to get it.  I'll keep you guys posted on whether I get this data or not.

You only need to know the drawn postion for the Pick-3/4 games. Positional Analysis for Pick-5/6 are done in numaric order.  What you should find is a general range between lowest and highest drawn numbers per draw.  For example 01-36 would be the range of a low draw while 07-42 a mid range and 14-53 a high range. If you can correctly predict the next range you are effectively playing in a smaller game.

The Prof. Jones Positional Analysis was encoded into dos software some time ago, it wasn't effective at any reasonable playing budget.  If you have the Serotic books you can find some positional wheels which reduces the cost somewhat of playing numbers by position.

At the Florida lottery web site click Site Index at the bottom of the left side menu, there are game draw history upper right. While they are in numaric order now, the older draws are in drawn order. They used to supply both and the draw machines, never did anyone any good we know of.

                      BobP,

Thanks for your post.  Funny you should mention range prediction. Just a while ago I started a thread titled "Predicting Zones".

                      http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/144492/707509?q=predicting+zones

Predicting zones/ranges is something I have applied using Lotto007 XP. This app generates a table that gives one the ability to setup whatever quantity of zones/ranges you want.  In short, it's very difficult to predict zones even with the help of Lotto007 XP.  Therefore, I'm curious to try positional analysis. But as I have mentioned the problem is finding the Florida Lotto Draw History in drawn order.

Moreover,  I don't follow how you are settting up your ranges: 01-36 low range,  07-42 a mid range, 14-53 a high range. How are you coming up with your number values?

Lastly, I think the Florida Lottery web site has been in a downward spiral in terms of the data it offers to us.  I think you addresed this in your post shown below:

                      http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/122194?q=cahaba

If they fail to supply me the drawn order data I requested, I would have to figure out what the freedom of information act is all about so that I can use it on them to get what I want.

What I'm saying is the Prof Jones lottery software never required the draw results be entered in drawn order for the Positional Analysis for Pick-5/6.

Look at the draws.  You have some draws where the first drawn number or two are between 01-09 so say for the last ten draws there are four draws with numbers between 01-09 they go into the box for first position.  If one of those numbers was drawn twice, it becomes the "hot" number first position for the #1 combination.

What makes the Prof Jones Positional Analysis buggy is the mixture of ranges which put numbers 01-07, 08-13 and even 14-24 in the first box.  If one were to persue Positional Analysis the first step would be to break the draw history into ranges and enter each as an independent game so the positions would make more sense when turned into combinations by wheeling or permutation (hand wheeling by making up combinations without perfect attention to detail) as the book suggests.

So first you would set ranges, then do positional analysis based on those ranges, then you have to correctly predict the range or play them all.  What generally happens when you have several numbers in the first position?  An altogether different number is drawn.

There is no way to use drawn history because you could have a 01 and a 49 in the first position that way.  All Pick-5/6 is boxed, drawn order just makes it harder to deal with.

                            Hi, BobP

What a great idea about using ranges for playing smaller groups. Need to check that out. Thanks.

                              Johnph77,

I'm wondering if you can provide an overview of what your table is about.  How does one interpret this data?  Anything info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
