I've gotten this question through private messages a few times, so I'll go ahead and post this so that everyone can see how to do it.

Any member can give another member a membership gift anytime they want.

How to give another member a membership gift:

First, send me (Todd) a private message telling me that you're buying a membership for someone.  Let me know the Username (exact spelling!) and the exact type of membership you're buying (for example, 6 months Platinum).  Then, go ahead and make the purchase, as if you're buying it for yourself.

Once I see the payment is made, I'll upgrade the person you specified in your PM, and I'll send them a brief note letting them know who gave them the gift.

Thanks for supporting Lottery Post!

Yes, all everything Todd says is true, I was surprised with my membership from a friend, she is such a darling and sweet person for thinking of me...I hope some day to be able to return the favor back to her so she can pass it on..... I am so grateful and i enjoy it every day...She is my guardian angel and always will be.... Blue Angel  Jani Norman

Todd, just a question. How can a gold member upgrade to Platinum when you still have time on your gold membership?

      Thanks!

Jani you and I share the same sentiment of surprise.  I too was gifted by a very generous member of the LP family and I feel very honored and grateful.

You can just purchase whatever length Platinum membership you like.  If you upgrade to Platinum and I see that you have time remaining on a Gold membership, I convert the remaining Gold days to their equivalent Platinum days, so you don't lose any value.

Basically, you just make the purchase, and I'll take care of the rest.

I too had my standard membership upgraded earlier this month by a gift from a LP member.  I was surprised since I had never corresponded with this member and checked with Todd to make sure a mistake hadn't been made.  The gift was most appreciated.
