It was sold in Iowa. Great, another bigot state.

Too bad it wasn't my ticket :-(. I played one since it was my 25th birthday Saturday.

IA is the only Hot Lotto member where HL players have to be older than 18.

Nobody's mentioned it yet, but a newly elected lawmaker in Rhode Island wants to raise the minimum age for lottery and all gambling within RI by three years.

I am sure their are bigots in every state of the U.S.  Not just Iowa besides Powerball is headquartered in Iowa so it can't be that bad!-weshar75

I wonder if the jackpot taking so long to be won has anything to do with the game becoming computerized? I doubt it, but it seems like fewer people are playing it despite the addition of Kansas and New Mexico since the last jackpot win.

Hmmm, that's a very good question. The drawings were never televised, and I doubt most players ever took the time to find the drawings when they were posted. From what I can gather, I think it was just a streak of bad luck (or good luck, depending on your point of view). But I think now that it's gone flat, I think we might see sales go down to it's lowest levels since the game's inception, but that's just a guess. It might go up for all I know.

Good points. I didn't think of it that way. It's ashame that it is neglicted because Hot Lotto would be a great lineup for the Powerball states. I have written to Delaware several times suggesting they add it to the lineup and it fell on deaf ears.

Congratulations to IA for winning the HL jackpot. I hope the winner steps forward and takes cash.
