Today's race is the 5th at Fair Grounds.  (F) (S) Alw 51K n2X  7.5 furlongs (T)  4upF&M

Top two are # 2 Victorious Hour (5/2) and # 9 Little Dirty Herty (3/1).  Victorious Hour gets the nod on post position and speed at the distance.  # 8 Boro (4/1) and # 5 Race Me Round Town (8/1) will be there to keep it honest.

2 - 9 - 8 - 5


Exacta "value bet":  1 - 2  boxed

    I mentioned this before but will repeat it.  Free past performances for "The Race of the Day" can be found at brisnet.com.

    This is a cool free feature.  They give you the past performances for one major race each day.  They even have a contest involving it.

    What I like about this is that a time-challenged person can focus their handicapping on one race instead of many and of course, it's free.  Also their choices of races are excellent.  These are high class races with high caliber talent.

    A note about the Exacta Value Bet.  This is an angle play that will win occasionally and sometimes at surprising prices.  It's based on the two horses with the highest best speed ratings at today's distance.  Play only the top two horses and box them.
