From MM list of winners e-mail:

5     +     0 43 $250,000
4     +     1 319 $10,000

43 people had 5 + 0, I'm wondering if that's a record...that's a payout of $10,750,000 for "second place"...

Wonder if 319 people with 4 + 1 is a record, too. 

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

    Actually, Mega Millions had 56 second place winners on the night of February 20, 2004.
