I've done some "improvements" on Tennessee's games, but this is little more comprehensive, and I think better.

Add front pair/back pair plays.

Some big changes here, namely changes that will create more winners across the board.

Pick 5 from 35 (down from 39).

Win cash by matching 2 or more numbers (down from 3 or more to win). All prizes pari-mutuel.

Jackpots will be smaller and will be won more often, but will continue to rollover in the event of no winner. Jackpots will start at $25,000.

Drawings daily at 7:28 Eastern/6:28 Central after Cash 4.

Now, you're probably asking why I'm making Lotto 5 smaller scale. After all, this is technically Tennessee's primary alternative to Powerball. Well, it's because, if I was the boss at TN Lottery, there would be a new game that would act as the new alternative.

Pick 6 out of 49.

Two plays for $1.

Match 3 or more out of 6 and win. All prizes pari-mutuel.

Jackpots start at $1,000,000 (20-year annuity) at grow with each drawing with no winner.

All jackpot winners, up to 10 jackpot winners, shall win no less than $1,000,000 annuitized per winning ticket. In other words, if you win, you're guaranteed to win at least $1,000,000. If more than ten tickets hit the jackpot, they shall split $10,000,000 annuitized or the advertised jackpot, whichever is larger. This shall be funded from a reserve fund consisting of 3% of sales until a $10,000,000 reserve is reached, then the 3% shall be placed in the jackpot for all subsequent draws until the reserve is drawn against. Whew!

Drawings Tuesdays and Fridays.

Ok this is what I think...

Add more draws to lotto 5 that's for sure!  I'm not sure about the other changes; however, I would still play.  Lotto 5 is a favorite among players because only someone in the state can win.  With that said the Pick 6 is a great idea!  If TN started the Pick 6 there is no doubt there would be a lot of people play.

On a side note the changes to Lotto 5 would be OK; however, the only problem I see is people might stop playing if the Jackpot doesn't get up to $500,000 every now and then.  I would do a survey where people could win cash for taking it to see whether or not it was a good idea.

How are you going to win if you don't play?
