Well I played Pick 5 for the first time on Saturday just to give it a try. I told the clerk I wanted a $5 quick pick. When he handed me the ticket it had 10 sets on it. I was confused as to why at first, despite the ticket having $5.00 on it, because I thought it was it was $1 per set. I walked over to where the playslips were, and there it was on the back. 2 sets for $1. The jackpot is $50,000 pari-mutuel. I am so happy right now I can't even express it. I didn't win anything on the quick picks, but I have realized that with as good of progress my system was making on Pick 6, I could probably easily get a jackpot win on Pick 5. I know $50,000 isn't anywhere near what the Pick 6 jackpot is, but it'll make a good start. I'll probably still play Pick 6, just not quite as much until I get my first Pick 5 jackpot win. Then I can play both ALL OUT!!! Anyways, which drawing do you all play for? I'm gonna start out by playing just evening.

We only have an evening draw here in New Jersey. Where or what state are you talking about? If you have a double draw, play both...! Good luck.

Indiana. I'm gonna stick with just evening until my first jackpot win. I can put more effort into winning the jackpot if I do it this way, then after my first jackpot, I'll start playing both.

As I understand it, the jackpot is $50K for up to six 5/5 winners.
After that, it is $300,000 divided by the number of 5/5 matchers.

I like the Ohio version better. It starts at $100K and rolls until it hit and then then it's divided among the winners which is usually one.

* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

@ Guru101: Well that won't help you once I start playing . You might want to switch to midday
@ RJOH: The Ohio has a nicer prize (much nicer, when it gets a good roll going) but it's 5/39 @ 1 play / $1.
The IN is 5/36 @ 2 plays / $1

Hmmmmmm, I'm not so sure about that. I'm talking about a system for Pick 5 that's getting down to Pick 3 odds, and it's $1 for 2 sets. Muahahahahaha!!!!!
