  I think I read somewhere that there are "practice" slot machine games online, but I don't want to spend any money on it.........anyone know of a safe site online?

  If you buy a "Casino Player" magazine,they rate all of the best "online" casinos regularly. They change sometimes and I'm not sure what the best ones are at this moment but on most you can play for free. I've tried some out but I find my favorite way to practice is by buying casino software and playing "safely". There is much more variety then what they allow you to play for free online,the games are pretty limited on there. Plus if you don't have a newer computer,the graphics and such take awhile to download.

  if you just want to fool around with slots try Pogo.com they have several slot style games.

  i agree pogo.com is good because they have a variety of slots and i also used iwon.com a few times they have a few casino games for free and few free contests you can win real money in just like pogo.com...

  Thanx for the suggestions, but I tried the Sands of Caribbean and it doesn't show that United States citizens have access to it.......I think every Country on the Planet was showing, but no United States.........think that law that was pasted might have made it impossible to even practice online......I'll try pogo.com and see what I find.....

  SAFE PLAY CAVEAT EMPTOR

  The  free play mode on these internet casinos can be ok for fun but the results should not be taken as virtual reality for any testing. The reason being is when you are playing in the free play mode, essentially this is a promotional come on permitting you to win utilizing your own computer but when you go into real play mode then it switches over to the casino RNG and then you will receive real results. Most internet casinos utilize this free access as a means to acquire your email addy and  a opportunity to lure unwary into real $$$ losing play.

  So have fun, but don't take the outcome for reality-

  I totally agree,Eddessa. They will,of course,let you "win" more in free mode to get you to thinking you will be winning like that using real money. That's why I like the software games that you buy. Some of them are REALLY like real slot machines,you can roll the reels time after time without seeing anything hit,haha!

  The only game you can really practice,I believe, would be video poker. I didn't think I'd be interested in it but then I bought a copy of Bob Dancer's Winpoker CD and it really teaches you how to play the correct hand EVERY time. If you make a mistake and pick the wrong card it will show up in a little box and correct you. It can get quite addicting! Video poker is simply the only "slot" game you really have any control of that I can think of.

  I think one can "practice" some things, but slot machines ain't one of them.

  You have to practice on the real deal and your practice can be costly if you

  play too long on one particular machine and / or  stay too long at the "wrong" one...

  Yes, there are some machines to avoid at all costs, while others are a safer play.

  It has taken me years ( as well as several bankrolls ) to understand the difference, but I feel like now I am a better slot player for it.

   

  I would never trust any slot machine that was web based.

  Too easy to manipulate.
