We are about to undergo our first tropical depression of the season so I may be off line for a few days till I can get my generator fired up and running. (I never doubt that we will loose power)

Be well all !!

P3p....You know that we lose power in Lake Worth when somebody sneezes!  I'm gearing up for it too.

      Good Luck!

The forecast calls for Barry to stay only a Tropical Storm, with maybe a few gusts of 40-50 mph. Technically, this is not a true tropical system, kind of like what Andrea was a few weeks ago. If anything, some much needed rain will fall across Florida. You guys need it bad. I wish I could send you all the rain we have seen in Texas this spring season. Anyways, stay safe. I am sure you have been through enough of these that you know what to do.

You can't dismiss a tropical storm. Look what tropical storm alisan did to Houston a few years ago. Semi's were underwater. The texas medical center was underwater. Stopped Houston cold for 4 days. My car was flooded, but I was one of the lucky ones, mine flooded in my driveway. I wasn't stranded out on the freeway like 100,00 other people, and the water didn't enter my house!

                        KK,

I know we take the hurricane season very seriously here and spare no expense to protect ourselves.  When the wind is roaring outside for 24 hours or longer you never know what will happens or when.  I live very close to the ocean so it is difficult for us to flood unless we are hit by the storm surge and then it is more like being washed away rather than flooded.

Every year between August and October we get free excitement on a regular basis.  The other nine months it is like living in paradise.
