NOT number predictions, predictions about now til the end of the year, or perhaps the second half of this year til June 30 '08.

(Just have a few hunches).

I think someone here is going to hit a jackpot, not sure a state Pick 6 or Powerball or Mega, or the UK or Australia, but someone on LP hits.

They'll disappear for awhile, or maybe just lurk (and be very entertained while they do) and then comeback (same username or maybe different) and tell a very intersting story about how they didn't do hardly sanything at all they way they thought they would have before they hit.

What they have to tell will be very revealing and very educational for all of us.

If the "Meet & Greet" comes off and is held in a non-lotto state those who met will wonder why they ever did that. If it's held in a non-lotto casino state (Nevada, Mississippi) they'll wonder why they did that and think about how many lotto tickets they could have bought chasing royal flushes and such.

Raffles are going to have to produce more winners per raffle or be outlawed by the states.  Something is going to happen where a state lottery is told if it wants to keep operating it has to entirely revamp its raffle or stop operating until it does.

Grante on the surface this appears to be a "state vs state" internal battle, but the state will be fed up with the bad pr from the raffle in question.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I want to see ALL raffles watched over by someone that is 'licensed'.

I am in too danged many of them - yes, it's just a dollar - but someone always is having a raffle for their kids' baseball team, or whatever non-profit organization, but the draw date comes and goes, and you never hear about who won that 46" plasma TV or the new Harley.

I just seem to know a lot of friends and co-workers that buy into the same raffles I do, and over the years, none of us have ever won a thing.

I just want to be a little more assured it's not 'fixed'.
