I'm not a scrathcer player but my wife is. FWIW, from what I've seen her, and the other scratcher players that go to the lotto place, have cashed a whole lot more tickets than I ever have on any number game.
I voted other because I consider raffles to be an actual insult to lottery players intelligence.
Using the Illinois format, you have 499,491 losers and 509 winners.
In other words, 99.8982% of the tickets are guaranteed to be losers - at a $20 price tag no less. No thanks.
For those of you who play them good luck, but the only approach I can see to the raffles as conducted by the lotteries is, "Here, please take this $20. I can't stand having it, let me give it to you."
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
