My Birthday is coming up soon and I'm thinking about purchasing a whole roll of tickets. I think it would be cool if I won. I was just curious to know...
How many tickets are on a $5 roll? and how much do they run for?
How many tickets are on a $10 roll and how much do they run for?
How many tickets are on a $20 roll and how much do they run for?
I've been told to stay way from $1 and $2 tickets. Please someone reply.

Don't do what? Buy the whole roll of tickets? Please expalin.
Don't buy the whole roll, for God's sake, or your own sake I should say....!
I'll explain.
Don't let desperation rule over common sense. Rule One:
Don't allow radical and free thought stop you from expressing yourself, but do not allow it to control static, or idle thoughts, which can reek havoc on the psyche.

I've always heard the saying, 'the more you buy the more you win'. Is that not true?
Have you heard the saying that the more you spend the more you'll lose? You do know that the lottery makes a profit, right? Who do you think pays for that profit?

What's with people showing up here and within a very few posts basically asking what to play so they can get their tickets and count their winnings?
If it was only that easy.
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Buying a whole book or roll of tickets can be rewarding or it can be a complete disaster. Yes there are winning tickets in each book/roll. suppose you bought a roll for 100 dollars and only won twenty dollars then what. You think buying another roll will get your money back --- well maybe, maybe not. You might win 35 dollars on the second book. Buy the same regard you might buy a roll and get the big money. Which means you happened to be in the right place at the right time.
They print hundreds of thousands of tickets for many scratch games possibly millions of tickets depending on the type of game and pay out structure.
Many years ago i use to watch these 2 old guys buy rolls of scratch tickets they would scratch tickets all day long of course they won some money, bought more tickets, but mostly they lost money. After they spent much of their savings they finally stopped.
Some people say to buy the first 5 tickets off a new roll then watch the amount of tickets being sold where you buy your tickets and then buy the middle 5 tickets and finally buy the last five remaining tickets in a book/roll. Apparently thats where the winners can be found in some cases.
This does not mean that there are definitely winners in every book/roll situation. The big money winning ticket in a roll/book can be anywhere in the book/roll.
Buying scratch tickets is like playing a one arm bandit sure you might win but how many times have you heard about so and so winning big bucks playing the slots. Scratch off tickers fit into that same category.
There might be three big money tickets out of 500,000 thousand to 1 million or more printed tickets.

Pac is right, DON'T DO IT. It's not worth it. A few years ago, I played in lottery drawings & would u believe my name came on t.v. saying I am a winner of 500 scratch-off tickets. I was shocked because I only put in one ticket for the drawing when other people have put in lots of them daily. when I scratched off all 500 tickets, I only got $225 out of it. That's why I never buy scratch-off tickets, they r rip-offs. It has alot to do with luck. My neighbor went to 1 store & bought 1 ticket & won $50, then she went to another store & did the same thing & won another $50 & again went to another different store for the third time & won $50 again. She was very smart, she went to the 4th store & bought 1 ticket & did not win. She stopped buying the tickets right then & there & knew that was her cue to quit buying. She was very happy to win $150. She said it is all luck, do not buy all the tickets there in 1 place. When I got my 500 tickets, I thought for sure, I was gonna win big money, wrong! But hey, I was blessed with $225 without buying any tickets so I'm happy. So your luck is, when u r in the right place & in the right time.
