I read on Yahoo tonight that the largest Casino in the world opened in China.  I remember in the 70s when I first visited Vegas, I stayed at the Dunes and it took me 15 minutes to get from my room to the casino.  I get lost in shopping malls, so I probably wouldn't like a gigantic hotel, but I'm sure it's spectacular.  Anyway, if I'm going to blow my money, I want to do it here.  China already has enough of our money!    An American billionaire is the developer of this giant resort whose size is reported to be only second to the Boeing plant in Everett WA, the largest building in the world.

    Holy cow!

Couldn't agree more about China though.

Asians are fanatic gamblers, they'll probably do well just on the Asian trade alone though.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Actually is not a good news to hear in China...I am againt casinos, i think they should be abolished....That casino is taking the poor little money that chinese makes and consuming it for itself and the owner....The only reason i am infavor of this casino is because is the Biggest Casino in the world and can be like an Attraction for Tourist , but i am not in favor of it because it is in China...

That's the same logic they use to keep casinos out of my state but the people making that argument are running the race tracks, bingo games, and the lottery. We have enough hypocrisy so why not share some with the Chinese?

Macau is the gambling capital in that part of the world, appropriately called the Las Vegas of Asia.  Except for Stanley Ho, financial tycoon from Hongkong and his local cohorts, casinos, hotels, and related businesses are run ty the same consortiums that run Las Vegas casinos.  High rollers  regular in Las Vegas are regulars in Macau, as well.

I visited there in 1998.  If I'm not mistaken, Macau used to be Portuguese territory and was not part of China until recently.  (Am not so sure about this).
