In the vain of my Arkansas proposal, the Alabama Lottery, if I, as I should, start it up.

In-State Online Games

Run-of-the-mill 3-digit and 4-digit number games. For info, go to any other lottery's site.

Pick 5 from 39.

Tickets are $1 each.

Jackpots start at $100,000, and can grow to over $1 million!

Match
Prize
Odds

Jackpot
1:575,757
4/5
$100
1:3,386.8
3/5
$7
1:102.6
2/5
Free Ticket1:9.6

Overall Odds : 1 in 8.774

35% of gross total sales of a particular draw go to the jackpot for that draw. The minimum jackpot is $100,000 and average jackpot amount should be $201,515. In any case, the jackpot will be shared among all top prize winners of a particular drawing.

On average, 50.645% of sales goes toward prizes.

Preferred Multi-State Game

My primary out-of-state target is Georgia, and Powerball would get them across the line, especially those in the Columbus area. Plus, we could join right away, as opposed to Mega Millions, where we would have to wait for them to "come around."

Scratch-Offs

$1, $2, and $5 tickets, with $10 and $20 tickets as the lottery gets it's name out. $30 tickets would also be appropriate at a later date.

Can someone say $10 "Iron Bowl Bucks"? Whether you holler "Roll Tide" or "War Eagle", a $250,000 top prize is something to cheer about.

you need to e-mail this proposal to a couple of influential Senators from Alabama. Maybe it just might catch their eye...            nice job...!

That's a very, very clever Dixie 5 logo- putting the state flag into it!

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

        Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Just as long as they don't go to TN for advice on how to set-up lotteries.

                Draw Machines :

This little baby will draw Pick 3 & Pick 4.

The 10 balls in each chamber will be a mix of red & white balls, red balls for odd numbers, white balls for even.

And Dixie 5 will be drawn by a Criterion II, such as this one.

Red, white, and blue balls will be used to drawn Dixie 5, #1 will be red, #2 will be white, #3 will be blue, #4 will be red, #5 will be white, and so on until #39, which will be blue.

Aww, DisapproveDD, you changed your quote.  Hey look, when you fall out of that boat, you are safely Smileon dry land.  How about that!?  Unless, of course, you want to fall out of the boat into shark infested waters.
