I know that this may seem a bit way out there. However, it works if you want to see the most popular & the least popular sums of the pick 5 & pick 6 draws. There are programs especially for the pick 5 & pick 6 games. However, I'm showing the versatility in using the Inspector 4 Number Set Analysis.

First, you can get the results for the pick 5 & pick 6 games by using the Search Past Results feature. I show you how to do it & also how to keep an "auto update" of your results in the following thread: Getting More From The Search Past Results.

Ok now let's get into using the Inspector 4 to analyze sums in the pick 5 & pick 6 games.

Three bears was looking for patterns for the Cash 5 in Texas. So of course...you guessed it...I went to the Search Past Results. I selected Texas, then pick 5 game, then put in the 01-09 & set the Minimum #s to match at 1. & I will show you a snapshot of the results below.

Game(s): Texas Cash 5

Match Type: Numbers in any position

Minimum Numbers to Match: 1

Date range: Past 30 Days (Aug 7, 2007 - present)

19 drawings matched the search criteria specified

As you know the Inspector 4 Number Set Analysis is set up of course for the pick 4. HOWEVER, by putting zeros in front of the 2 digit pick 5 & pick 6 draws you can still get a sum analysis.

I took the #s from the 7 sets above & input the digits in the following manner: 0001,0009,0015,0029,0037, etc.

As you know the Inspector 4 Number Set Analysis is set up of course for the pick 4. HOWEVER, by putting zeros in front of the 2 digit pick 5 & pick 6 draws you can still get a sum analysis.

I took the #s from the 7 sets above & input the digits

in the following manner: 0001,0009,0015,0029,0037, etc.

Here are the Sum results, when you do it for yourself you

will see root sums as well:

Look at the last 2 digits in the sets of 4 digits, when the last 2 digits are added together this tells what sums appeared the most & the least. You can see somewhat of a pattern using a small sample of 7 sets of draws. Sum 9 made five appearances. Sums 2, 7 & 8 appeared four times etc. This is vital information for it tells you the most & least popular sums drawn during a particular time frame.

Laverne, I tried that for the pick 6 lottery in Canada, called 649.
I entered six digits between the numbers 1 and 49, and I put a 0 in front of the numbers but it still said that the input was incorrect.

It didn't give me any answers other than that?

Assistance please.

I went to Search Past results & input the 01-09 as previously stated. Here are 2 draw results:

Remember Inspector 4 is setup to handle pick 4s. Look at the first draw results for the Canada 6/49, the entries will look like this: 0007,0021,0022, etc.

After entering 4 digits in the Inspector 4 your results will look this:

You can also apply the methods in this thread to the 4 + 1 & the 5 + 1 games. For example Kentucky Cashball, Mega Millions etc.
As for bonus balls you may try to enter them separately to see exactly what sums are appearing.
Once you see what sums are involved & their percentage rates you will begin to see patterns based on draw history & time frames.

I forgot to mention that when the draw is a single digit (6) etc., you must enter 3 zeros along with the draw digit to fill the 4 digit position.

What about the second column, what does that mean? And how far back do people look at draws?

The second column under sum is how many times the sum appeared.
It is up to you how far you want to go back & research.

I put this in my other thread as well:
I just thought of something. The Inspector 3 will work with this, it's less keystrokes because you will only have to use 1 zero for a 2 digit # & 2 zeros for a single digit # & it will still give the desired output.

To get a total picture of the PowerBall Drawings you need to Inspect the Data from both Posts in the other Thread. The first post was just the white balls and the second post (above) is just the PowerBall.
