And the Pentagon and Flight 93.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I posted this last year and am sure Todd won't mind if I do it again. My sister spent a year talking to and gathering real 9/11 survivors stories and put them all together with her music. A photographer later contacted her and wished to add it along with his slide show of photos taken from that day. A very emotional experience if you wish to view. Take Care and God Bless.

Thank you for posting this.  I agree, never forget.

I think it's burned a little deeper into every person from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.  Anyone growing up here or living here a long time has the NY skyline etched in their memories -- the way it SHOULD be.

Every time I look at the skyline .... EVERY TIME .... I have a moment, a hitch in my thoughts, where I go back to that September morning and feel it.  I have a momentary sadness that something important is missing.

I don't think the feelings will ever go away.  I will carry them with me until my final day.

                      . . . . . . . . .

I posted a blog entry recently that I think is good to read today.  It speaks of the populace, and the fallout from 9/11.  Will we all live in peace again?  I don't know, but if people listen to the words of this courageous airline pilot, we will all take a step closer to making it happen.

Appreciate the indelibel flashback Todd, and all the other relevant contributions by our faithful board members. Yeah being from metropolitan NYC area has a major impact on our psyche ( New York State of Mind' & "We Didn't Start The fire' by Billy Joel). After all this great gateway city was commonly thoought of as the Capitol of the World. I recall my last visit to the WTC (as solemn as Gettysberg) and felt an energy sucking vacume where 3,000 innocent lives from NY & all over the world instantly perished in an attack on the US, the first since Pearl Harbor.

I recall an old Christopher saying:                                                            "That it's better to light one candle then to curse the darkness!".........                      so with your patriotic indulgance Todd read below (not my authorship):

                          US Flag

On Tuesday, September 11th, 2007, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this anniversary of our country's worst tragedy. We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Action Plan: So, here's what we need you to do...

                          (1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people).  Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

                          (2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.

Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

                          Thank you for your participation.

God Bless You and God Bless America

THE BLUE KNIGHTS IN THE LINE OF DUTY; R.I.P.

Exactly six years ago today, courageous law enforcement officers and firefigters gave their lives responding to the worst terrorist attack America has ever seen. Since 9/11, several more officers succumbed to health problems as the result of the aftermath and countless others have fallen while serving our country in the War on Terror.

The following law enforcement officers were taken from us on 9/11. They will always be remembered:

New York City Police Department, NY
                            Sergeant John Coughlin
